Frequently Asked Questions
How much do lessons cost?
Lessons are priced as follows:
How do I pay for my lesson?
Once we have organised a day and time for your lesson to take place I will send you an email confirming the details. This email will contain a link via which you can pay securely using debit or credit card. If you would rather pay by bank transfer please let me know and I can send you the relevant details. Payment in cash is also fine for in-person lessons.
How do I book a lesson?
I recommend all new students book a free 30 minute online trial lesson. Free trials can be booked here. If, after your trial lesson, you would like to book a paid lesson we can organise a day and time for your lesson to take place that suits you.
How do I join my online lesson?
Once you have booked a lesson with me you will receive a confirmation email. This email will contain the details of the Zoom meeting where the lesson will take place. If you would like to use a platform other than Zoom (Skype, Teams, WhatsApp etc.) please let me know, and I will do my best to accomodate.
What equipment will I need for my online lesson?
All that is required for your online lesson is a device with a camera and your saxophone. If possible, I recommend using a laptop or tablet over a mobile phone for lessons. Headphones might also me useful for clarity of sound, but are not essential.
Can I get an authentic learning experience via an online lesson?
Absolutely, online lessons are becoming increasingly popular and represent a great way to learn flexibly without having to travel. To further enhance the online learning experience I am constantly developing a set of resources such as backing tracks and playalong exercises which can be used during the lesson and for practice afterwards.
